Message from director

Dear Student,

I am pleased to welcome you to Spanish Guitar High School, only one in our country specialized in concert guitar teaching.

I want to briefly share with you more than two decades devoted to the study and training, where I spent most of my time to the pursuit of knowledge, technical and human skills that a person must acquire to become a good concert guitarist, regardless of their intentions to go through a professional music or not.

It is my goal and that of all teachers who are members of the faculty of the Spanish Guitar High School respond with our higher education project to the concerns of everyone who wants, no age limit close to the wonderful world of music through such a noble and beautiful instrument, as it is Spanish guitar. And that's precisely our rationale, to get our students through their efforts, perseverance and dedication, to reach through our teaching to be recognized as a renowned guitarist and master the technique employed in his compositions and interpretations.

In referring to the Spanish guitar, is obliged to pay tribute to the most admired guitarist concert of all time, D. Francisco Tárrega Eixea (1852-1909). It was from this illustrious performer and composer, when the guitar went from being a mere accompanying instrument to be present in the most prestigious concert halls around the world. His teachings were passed down from one generation of guitarists to this day, one of the main objectives of the Spanish Guitar High School is helping to perpetuate that these teachings are followed over time.

We have designed our Study Plan so that anyone from three years old on and no age limit can access a qualified musical education, from both a professional and amateur, the latter for those who only want to play guitar with a technique refined but not too theoretical load and maximum flexibility in schedules.

We are Official Center of the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), that means our pupils are able to get the following Diplomas recognized all over the world:

• Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (DipABRSM)
• Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM)
• Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music (FRSM)

On the other hand, Always staying true to our commitment of offering to our students a high standard musical education, piano subject has been included in our Study Plan, because it is a must in all Music Conservatories if you want to get concert guitar specialization.

For younger guests aged three to seven years we have set the stage Music and Movement, in order to develop their expressive abilities, musical and motor skills through games, songs and dances, and establish a solid foundation to enable them to music future best performance in its development as musicians.

To teach our classes we are provided with the best facilities, spacious and functional rooms with natural lighting and independent air conditioning and soundproofing, furnished with the latest technology and specially designed for teaching general music and guitar concert in particular.

Given our specialization in teaching a single instrument -the Spanish guitar, on both sides of concert, classical and flamenco, our commitment of quality in the development of our training programs, amateur and professional, under LOE and our teaching team of recognized teachers with advanced degrees and extensive experience within the field of music education and as soloists, we can say with absolute pride that we offer you a model of elite education.
